Everything around us revolves around discipline.
I guess this term is revered because most of us automatically associate it with fear. You know, the kind that takes me back to those days when mother dearest (who was the disciplinarian by the way) would give us a good whooping, stating repeatedly that she would not live under the same roof with any hard-headed children. I think I hated her a little for that.
But I have come to appreciate discipline. It has shaped the woman I have become and I am becoming. Life is always a constant battle between the right way, and the easy way out. Our choices are greatly influenced by our levels of discipline. You make a conscious choice to do right. A conscious choice to stay up and complete your project, to stay healthy, to be successful, to be happy. (At this point allow me to add that material wealth is not the only yardstick of success.
