In The Arms Of An Angel

Losing someone or something close to you is never easy. Especially when they are gone. Gone for good. You really can’t bring them back. Band Perry’s ‘If I die young’ never made much sense to me until now. They say that time heals almost everything. I don’t think so. Rose Kennedy, couldn’t have put it better. ‘The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.’ The pain still lingers. Probably not as much as when the wound is fresh, but it does.
Pain I guess my mind’s way of protecting its sanity is disbelief. I am yet to let it all sink in. Sometimes I say that it’s ‘better’ when someone dies after a long illness. Maybe then, one would be prepared. But then again, is anyone ever prepared for the moment the grim reaper comes calling? Continue reading
